T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
