Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
