Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)

۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it. 12 Then when the Horn is blown with one blast 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash. 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed. 18 Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 its fruits are near. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 However, those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their left hands will say, "We wish that this record had never been given to us 25 and not known my reckoning! 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 “All my power has vanished.” 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 Indeed, he did not use to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 Today he has been left here friendless; 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
