And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them." 71 Said he: "Do [you really think that] they hear you when you invoke them, 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 you and those ancient forebears of yours? 76 they are all my enemies, not so the Lord of the Universe, 77 Who created me and Who guides me; 78 and He gives me to eat and drink, 79 who, when I am sick, heals me; 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 "O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; 85 and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided; 86 And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves, 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 “Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound* heart.” (Intact or unblemished.) 89 And the Garden shall be brought nigh to the God-fearing. 90 and the Fire will be uncovered for those who strayed, 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” 93 "Then they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire),- they and those straying in Evil, 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 "They will say there in their mutual bickerings: 96 "We were clearly misguided 97 When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 98 It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error, 99 We have no intercessors now, 100 no loyal friend. 101 O that we might return again, and be among the believers!' 102 Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
