The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
