The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Lord of the Day of Judgment! 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Guide us to the straight path: 6 The way of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, not of those who have been condemned [by Thee,] nor of those who go astray! 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
