The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 2 The Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Show us the straight way, 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
