The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 You alone we worship, and to You alone turn for help. 5 Guide us to the straight path - 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
