(Muhammad), tell them to travel in the land and see what happened to those who rejected the Truth. 11 Ask thern: 'To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth?' Say: 'Everything belongs to Allah.' He has bound Himself to the exercise of mercy (and thus does not chastise you for your disobedience and excesses instantly). Surely He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the coming of which is beyond doubt; but those who have courted their own ruin are not going to believe. 12 ۞ And to Him belongs all that dwells in the night and the day. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 13 Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' " 14 Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day." 15 Indeed Allah’s mercy has been upon him, from whom the punishment has been averted on that Day; and this is the clear success. 16 And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things. 17 It is He who prevails over His creatures, and He is all-wise and aware. 18 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Whose testimony is the greatest?” Say, “Allah is the Witness between me and you; and this Qur’an has been sent down upon me, so I may warn you with it and whomever it may reach; so do you bear witness that there are other Gods along with Allah?” Say, “I do not bear witness to it”; Say, “He is the only One God and I do not have any relation with whatever you ascribe as partners (to Him).” 19 Those to whom We have given the Book know it distinctly as they know their sons; but those who are lost of soul do not believe. 20
