Al-A 'araaf 23 of 24
And those who denied Our signs – We shall soon steadily lead them towards the punishment, from the place they will not know. 182 And I grant them respite; surely My scheme is effective. 183 Do they not reflect that their companion has not unsoundness in mind; he is only a plain warner. 184 Will they not ponder upon the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that Allah created, and that it may be that their term is drawing near? So, in which speech will they believe thereafter? 185 Whosoever God allows to go astray has none to show him the way, for He leaves them to wander perplexed in their wickedness. 186 They ask thee about the (final) Hour - when will be its appointed time? Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (alone): None but He can reveal as to when it will occur. Heavy were its burden through the heavens and the earth. Only, all of a sudden will it come to you." They ask thee as if thou Wert eager in search thereof: Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone), but most men know not." 187 Say: I do not control any benefit or harm for my own soul except as Allah please; and had I known the unseen I would have had much of good and no evil would have touched me; I am nothing but a warner and the giver of good news to a people who believe. 188
