▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10

The infidels should not think that they can bypass (the law of God). Surely they cannot get away. 59 Hence, make ready against them whatever force and war mounts you are able to muster, so that you might deter thereby the enemies of God, who are your enemies as well, and others besides them of whom you may be unaware, [but] of whom God is aware; and whatever you may expend in God's cause shall be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged. 60 ۞ And if they incline to peace, do thou incline to it; and put thy trust in God; He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 61 If they try to cheat you, God is surely sufficient for you. It is He who has strengthened you with His help and with believers 62 Whose hearts He cemented with love. You could never have united their hearts even if you had spent whatever (wealth) is in the earth; but God united them with love, for He is all-mighty and all-wise. 63 O Prophet! God is enough for thee and those of the believers who follow thee! 64
