۞ If every wrongdoer possessed all that was on the earth, he would seek to ransom himself with it: when they see the punishment, they will repent in secret. But judgement will be passed upon them in all fairness, and they will not be wronged. 54 Indeed all that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. And most certainly Allah's promise will be fulfilled, though most men are not aware. 55 He giveth life and causeth to die, and unto Him ye shall be returned. 56 People, an admonition has now come to you from your Lord, and a healing for what is in the chests, a guide and a mercy to believers. 57 Say: 'In the bounty of God, and His mercy -- in that let them rejoice; it is better than that they amass. 58 Say: "Have you ever considered all the means of sustenance which God has bestowed upon you from on high - and which you thereupon divide into 'things forbidden' and 'things lawful? Say: "Has God given you leave [to do this] - or do you, perchance, attribute your own guesswork to God?" 59 What will those who forged falsehood about Allah think on the Day of Resurrection? Allah is Bountiful to mankind; yet most of them do not give thanks. 60
