But no one believed Moses, except [some] youths among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors 83 Moses told his people, "If you have submitted yourselves to God and have faith in Him, put your trust in Him". 84 They said: 'We have put our trust in Allah. Our Lord, do not let us be a temptation to the harmdoing nation. 85 “And with Your mercy, rescue us from the disbelievers.” 86 We revealed [Our will] to Moses and his brother, saying, "Set aside for your people some houses in the city and turn them into places of worship, and be constant in prayer! And give [O Moses] the good news to the believers." 87 And Musa said: Our Lord! surely Thou hast given to Firon and his chiefs finery and riches in this world's life, to this end, our Lord, that they lead (people) astray from Thy way: Our Lord! destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not until they see the painful punishment. 88 He said: Your prayer is heard. Do ye twain keep to the straight path, and follow not the road of those who have no knowledge. 89 ۞ And We made the children of Israel to pass through the sea, then Firon and his hosts followed them for oppression and tyranny; until when drowning overtook him, he said: I believe that there is no god but He in Whom the children of Israel believe and I am of those who submit. 90 (Thereupon came the response): 'Now you believe, although you disobeyed earlier and were one of the mischief-makers. 91 We will save your body on this day so that you may become evidence (of Our existence) for the coming generations; many people are unaware of such evidence." 92
