O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient. 153 And do not utter regarding those who are slain in Allah's cause as “dead”; in fact they are alive, but it is you who are unaware. 154 We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with fortitude. 155 Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ [Hence,] behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two: for, if one does more good than he is bound to do - behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing. 158 Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-on them shall be Allah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,- 159 save such as repent and make amends, and show clearly -- towards them I shall turn; I turn, All-compassionate. 160 Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together, 161 Their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be reprieved. 162 Your Deity is Allah alone: there is no deity save the All-Beneficent and All-Merciful Allah. 163
