And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away. 105 And most of them do not believe in Allah, but they associate others with Him. 106 Do they feel secure that the punishment of Allah will envelop them, or that the Hour will overtake them suddenly when they are unaware? 107 Say: 'This is my Path. I call to Allah with sure knowledge, I and my followers. Exaltations be to Allah! I am not among the idolaters' 108 We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? - 109 [All the earlier apostles had to suffer persecution for a long time] but at last - when those apostles had lost all hope and saw themselves branded as liars - Our succour attained to them: whereupon everyone whom We willed [to be saved] was saved [and the deniers of the truth were destroyed]: for, never can Our punishment be averted from people who are lost in sin. 110 Indeed in their tidings is enlightenment for the men of understanding; this (the Qur’an) is not some made up story but a confirmation of the Books before it, and a detailed explanation of all things, and a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 111
