(Muhammad), consider when Abraham prayed, "Lord, make this (Mecca) a peaceful territory and save me and my offspring from worshipping idols. 35 My Lord! they have sent astray many among mankind; whosoever followeth me, verily he is of me; and whosoever disobeyeth me, then verily Thou art Forgiving, Merciful. 36 Our Lord, I have made some of my seed to dwell in a valley where is no sown land by Thy Holy House; Our Lord, let them perform the prayer, and make hearts of men yearn towards them, and provide them with fruits; haply they will be thankful. 37 "O our Lord! Certainly, You know what we conceal and what we reveal. Nothing on the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah. 38 Praise be to God, who has given me, though I am old, Ishmael and Isaac; surely my Lord hears the petition. 39 My Lord, make me and my descendants establishers of prayer. Our Lord, accept my prayer. 40 Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day whereon will be set up the reckoning. 41
