The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is The Book free of doubt and involution, a guidance for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, 2 the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful. 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). 7
