Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 except for those who stealthily try to listen to the heavens, but who are chased away by a bright flame. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 And we have given unto you livelihoods therein, and unto those for whom ye provide not. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 We send impregnating winds and send down water from the sky for you to drink and you have no (control over its) storage. 22 It is We who give life, and make to die, and it is We who are the inheritors. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 And verily, your Lord will gather them together. Truly, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
