VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 "(It will be said to them): 'Enter therein (Paradise), in peace and security.' 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And verily My torment! that is the torment afflictive 50 And tell them about Abraham's guests. 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Abraham asked, "Are you giving me the glad news of a son in my old age? What reason can you give for such glad news?" 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He said: and who despondeth of the mercy of his Lord except the astray 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
