Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water. 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news! 54 They answered: "We have given thee the glad tiding of something that is bound to come true. So be not of those who abandon hope!" 55 He said, "No one despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are in error. 56 He said, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 "Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)." 60
