And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
