And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
