And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
