And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
