The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 He will be in a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 A Blazing Fire! 11
