The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The affair of Allah cometh, so seek not to hasten it. Hallowed be He and Exalted above that which they associate. 1 He sends down the angels with the soul of faith – the divine revelations – towards those among His bondmen He wills that, “There is no worship except for Me, therefore fear Me.” 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 He created cattle which provide you with clothes, food, and other benefits. 5 And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, 7 And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know. 8 And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). 9
