It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. And you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking His Bounty and be grateful to Him. 14 He has set up on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake under you, and rivers and tracks, so that you may find your way, 15 And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; and they do not know when they will be raised (to life). 21
