He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason. 12 All that He has created for you on the earth are of different colors. In this there is evidence of the Truth for the people who take heed. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 He placed stablisers in the earth so that while it revolves you live undisturbed, and rivers and tracks so that you may find your way; 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 Those whom they call upon beside Allah have created nothing; rather, they themselves were created; 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
