He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 God has made the day and the night, the sun and the moon, and all the stars subservient to you by His command. In this there is evidence of the truth for people of understanding. 12 And whatsoever He has created for you on this earth of varying colours [and qualities from vegetation and fruits, etc. (botanical life) and from animal (zoological life)]. Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And He hath cast on the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you, and rivers and paths that haply ye may be directed. 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 For, were you to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
