Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 92 All that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the Beneficent God as His submissive servants. 93 Certainly He has a comprehensive knowledge of them and He has numbered them a (comprehensive) numbering. 94 each one of them shall come to Him one by one on the Day of Judgement. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 We have therefore made this Qur’an easy upon your tongue, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to announce glad tidings with it to those who fear, and warn those who are quarrelsome. 97 How many generations have We destroyed before them! Do you sense even one of them, or hear a whisper from them? 98
