Do you not see that We have sent devils upon the unbelievers who greatly incite them (to oppose the Truth)? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (in seeking a scourge against them). We are counting their days. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and drive the evildoers as herds, into Gehenna 86 None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant. 87 And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 whereat the heavens might well-nigh be rent into fragments, and the earth be split asunder, and the mountains fall down in ruins! 90 at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; 93 He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender). 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations living before them did We destroy? Do you find anyone of them around or do you even hear any word from them? 98
