Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (in seeking a scourge against them). We are counting their days. 84 On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation 85 and We shall drive the guilty ones to Hell as a thirsty herd. 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have done an atrocious thing. 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. 94 and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 So We have made it easy in thine tongue in order that thou mayest thereby give glad tidings unto the Godfearing and warn thereby a people contentious. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
