Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and We shall drive the guilty ones to Hell as a thirsty herd. 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. 88 You have uttered a grievous thing 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 to ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. 91 although it is inconceivable that the Most Gracious should take unto Himself a son! 92 None there is in the heavens and the earth but must come unto the Compassionate as a bondman. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 And each of them is to come to Him on the Day of Judgment alone. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
