T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
