T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
