T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
