T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
