T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
