The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
