[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And ease for me my task 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 To strengthen me 31 and let him share my task, 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
