Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 and let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
