(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
