Say thou: who guardeth you by night and by day from the Compassionate? Yet from the remembrance of their Lord they avert themselves! 42 Do they have some Gods who protect them from Us? Neither can they save themselves nor save their friends from Us. 43 Aye! We let these people and their fathers enjoy until there grew long upon them the life. Behold they not that We come unto the land diminishing it by the borders thereof? Shall they then be the victors? 44 Say: "I am warning you by God's command." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And yet, if but a breath of thy Sustainer's chastisement touches them, they are sure to cry, "Oh, woe unto us! Verily, we were evildoers!" 46 And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. 47 Surely We had granted to Moses and Aaron the Criterion (between right and wrong), and Light and Admonition for the good of the God-fearing, 48 These who fear their Lord unseen, and who are of the Hour fearful. 49 This (Quran) which We have revealed is a blessed reminder. Will you then deny it? 50
