The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 to their promise, 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
