The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 to their promise, 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
