The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 who give charity, 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
