The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
