And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. 33 If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, you will certainly be losers. 34 Does he promise you that, after you have died and become [mere] dust and bones, you shall be brought forth [to a new life]? 35 ۞ Far-fetched, far-fetched indeed is what you are promised! 36 "There is nothing but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we are not going to be resurrected! 37 He is only a man who has invented a lie about God, and we are not going to believe him!" 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant. 40 So they were rightly seized by a mighty blast; and We turned them into mouldy rubbish: A good riddance of the wicked people! 41 Then after them We brought forth other generations. 42 No community can anticipate their term, nor can they lay behind. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 Then We sent Musa and his brother Haroun, with Our communications and a clear authority, 45 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk. 46 And said: "Should we believe in two men like yourselves, whose people are our subjects?" 47 So they denied them – therefore became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, that haply they would be guided; 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water. 50

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
