Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
