Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
